INCENTIVES
The first question to answer when conduction and campaign is 'why?'.
The campaign is designed to cause change in an individuals life. With change always come two subconscious questions. They are:
Answering these two questions will help the leadership quantify why they believe a person should take the next steps.
On the day of the consultation, the leadership defined the answers to these questions in 3 broad categories. The initial answer is often very important because this is what exists at a sub conscious level.
They were,
Following the meeting, the pastor submitted these additional reasons for a person to take the next step.

- 'what will if cost me to make this change'
- 'what will be the benefit if I make this change'

They were,
- Responsibility - It is the responsibility of each christian to do so
- Healthy - A healthy christian faith is expressed in works
- Maturity - It is part of the process of maturity for a christian.
Following the meeting, the pastor submitted these additional reasons for a person to take the next step.
Incorporating all categories, they are as follows
- Responsibility - It is the responsibility of each christian to do so
- Healthy - A healthy christian faith is expressed in works
- Maturity - It is part of the process of maturity for a christian.
- Keep Fresh and enhance Christian Experience
- Gives Purpose - gives purpose and direction to ones life.
- Natural - natural part of life
Analysis
We can now analyse these categories against the first two questions. The resulting table summarises what the leadership sees as the reasons why a person would take the 'next step' in their christian walk.
Conclusion
I have taken what the leadership have said the incentives should be and analysed it to obtained a summary of the overall belief of the leadership. The result is as follows:
When a person asks "What will it cost me to effect this change?"
The answer is: It will require you to take responsibility and ownership for your own life, where you are now, and where you are going. To effect the change it will require you to be active, use personal discipline be willingness to grow.
When a person asks "What will be the result?"
The answer: Your life will find more purpose, your christian walk more enjoyable, there will be a natural and healthy flow to it, you will become more effective as a christian and find inner peace.

DZ Personal COmments
The incentives here focussed around the individuals life. Whilst this is valid, another approach can be made. That is to make God the subject, not the individual. This approach would open up an entirely different set of incentives, built on the platform of pleasing God and a life of faith.
When God is made the subject, the preaching topics change significantly. Our next steps also include a faith element. See "NOTE 1" theological section for more comments on these thoughts.
